Rae Gordon

Rae grew up with animals and experienced the high-kill shelter environment when her mother was an animal control officer for a small city shelter.   She started Musicians and Mutts as a link to connect rescues with touring musicians who could help transport dogs while on tour.  

What started as a way to help move animals into better situations has become so much more.

Since its inception, M&M has been able to not only connect rescues to transport volunteers, but friends and fans with opportunities to become foster homes for animals in need, promotions of shelters and rescue organizations across the US during musician travel and the development of the "Snip Trip", a regular shuttle taking animals to a low cost surgery clinic for spay and neuter appointments.   The cost of gas expenses for many of the shuttles have been covered by donations.

Future plans include becoming a 501c3 a spay//neuter fund to help cover costs for low income and homeless pet owners and a 2027 Musicians and Mutts Calendar.

Spay/neuter fund will be established by the 2027 calendar.
